Hilekharka, Tanahun
Hilekharka Village is one of the beautiful and typical Gurung villages in Tanahun district, located on the lap of Chhimkeshwori (Highest point of Tanahun).
The village is rich in Gurung culture and traditions. They speak their native Gurung language along with Nepali language, wear Gurung dress and have their own dance and songs like Chudka (Kauda), Ghatu, Sorathi, Jhyaurey, etc.
And now to preserve their culture and help youths return to their village, they have started community homestay programs and are trying to promote the village as one of the tourist destinations in Nepal.

How to Get to Hilekharka?
First you will have to get to Aanboo Khaireni, Tanahun, 7 KM from Mugling towards Pokhara.
From there, you can either hike for a day (via Chhimkeshwori Temple) or take a road way and travel on a shared public vehicle (bolero) or on your own vehicle (Scooter, Bike, Car, etc.)
