Known for Tungna Playing Grandpa, Peekey Tungna Baje Lodge and Restaurant is one of the hotels at Pikey Base Camp (4,067m), Solukhumbu (Everest Region).
The hotel is now run by third generation of Tungna Baje. But still he gives daily performances to the guests in the evening.
Tungna is a Guitar like Traditional Himalayan Musical instrument and Baje means Grandpa.
Though is grandpa is old and given all the responsibility of serving the guests to his grandson, the charm and energy is the same as he was in his youth.
Along with the warm hospitality and all the necessary services in the mountains, you will get to experience the local lifestyle with the magnificent views from Pikey Peak.
