Dhauli Odhaar, also known as lower Api Base Camp is the last place before reaching the final Api Base Camp. And it is the place to have lunch if you started from Shimar.

Though Dhauli Odhaar is at an altitude of 3,440m above sea level, there is a vast flat land. Almost the size of 2-3 football grounds.

This place is surrounded by the mountains and can enjoy the splendid view of Snow Capped Mountains like Jethi Bahurani (6,850m).

It is also an important place for Yarsagumba (Cordyceps) harvesters. Hundreds of villagers stay in this place in temporary tents during the harvesting season.

Yarsagumba is one of the major sources of income of the people living in Darchula and surrounding districts.

Dhauli Odhaar is located just below the Api Base Camp in Darchula District of Far-Western Nepal at an altitude of 3,440m above sea level.

How to Get to Dhauli Odhaar?

To reach Dhauli Odhaar, you will have to walk on the trekking trails of Api either via Ghusa and Siti Village or via Khandeshwori village.

The trail after Shimar can be difficult for a first time goer since you’ll be walking above 3,000m.
